Young People Shaping the Future of MARVEL Stadium

Over four weeks in July and August, 26 young people have taken part in Game Changers, The Huddle’s youth careers program delivered in partnership with MARVEL Stadium.

Bringing together young people with diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives — including recently arrived migrants and young people with lived experience of disability — participants brought their unique strengths and insights to the program. Through a series of interactive workshops, they built confidence and developed transferable skills in problem solving, project management, teamwork and communication.

Game Changers included a series of interactive workshops where participants gained valuable industry insights, explored behind the scenes of MARVEL Stadium with a facility tour, and connected with industry professionals through networking opportunities.

Working from the central question, “How can MARVEL Stadium provide an equal and enjoyable experience for fans from diverse backgrounds?”, participants developed ideas focused on creating a more inclusive and welcoming experience for everyone who visits the stadium.

Their thinking explored themes including greater cultural inclusion, improved accessibility, sensory inclusion and stronger in-language communication between staff and fans. The ideas demonstrate the value of young people bringing their lived experiences, perspectives and creativity to real-world challenges.

While MARVEL Stadium explores the potential of these ideas, participants who are interested in Customer Experience roles at the stadium will be given the opportunity to participate in their upcoming recruitment process for the upcoming events season.
