North Melbourne Kangaroos Community Camp

8 June 2026

The Kangaroos combine pre-season preparation with a packed community program across Tasmania.

The camp forms part of the club's ongoing commitment to the Tasmanian community, with the squad balancing pre-season training with a series of grassroots initiatives designed to bring the Kangaroos closer to the community.

The itinerary included:

  • Community Superclinic – Local juniors turned out to play alongside the team at a hands-on skills clinic.

  • STJFL Girls Matches – The Kangaroos got amongst the action at the Southern Tasmanian Junior Football League, supporting the next generation of female footballers.

  • Women's Club Training Session – Local women's football clubs joined players and coaches for a joint training session.

  • NMFC Pre-Season Training Camp – The squad put in the hard yards with a block of intensive training sessions as part of its 2026 preparation.

  • Local Visits – The group also took in some of what Tasmania has to offer away from the track, including a trip on the local Sauna Boat.

The camp demonstrates the club's ongoing relationships with local leagues, clubs and communities ahead of the new AFLW season.

All juniors who participated in activities throughout the camp became members of our Roo Squad, giving them access to North Melbourne AFLW home matches. You can join our Roo Squad today!
