Kids Footy Month

9 July 2026

More than 300 fans and community members took part in a pre-game parade as the Kangaroos marked the start of the school holidays.

On Sunday June 28, the Kangaroos kicked off the school holidays with a bang! With the team securing their eighth win of the season in their match against the Essendon Bombers.

The match also celebrated the start of Kids Footy Month, where kids 14 years and under can get in free to selected games. Plus, there was loads of family friendly activities and giveaways throughout the day.

Before the game, 300 lucky fans and community members also got to take part in a special parade on the ground, lead by a marching band and characters from The Wiggles.

The pre-game energy was matched at half time with a music set by DJ Dorothy and her Wiggles pals.

Kids Footy Month continues until Round 19, when the Kangaroos take on the Melbourne Demons back at Marvel Stadium.
